This year, Old Economy Village’s “Christmas as the Village” event will include a special “Sharing Our Traditions” feature. Various faith and ethnic traditions have been invited to share how they celebrate the season.

Beth Samuel will be participating! We’ll be passing out dreidels and showing folks how to play the game, displaying and explaining the meaning of menorahs, and reading a Chanukah story. We’ll also talk about the importance of foods fried in oil and selling sufganiyot (jelly donuts). [Because we know that a latke that isn’t fresh out of the frying pan, hot and crispy, just isn’t the same!]
