Beth Samuel Jewish Center values all the members of our community, and invites you to become a part of our family of members. We rely on membership dues to provide an outstanding facility, our Spiritual Leader, religious education, and programming for the Jewish community.

We want everyone to feel welcome and able to join Beth Samuel. If membership poses a financial hardship, we will work with you to arrange special payment options.

Members are entitled to voting privileges at our semi-annual meetings and seats at the High Holidays.

There are so many ways that you can contribute to the thriving community that we have created.

  • Come to services! Coming together on Shabbat is an opportunity to worship and to slow down. A time to socialize with your Beth Samuel friends and to celebrate your unique Jewish culture. Please join us on Friday nights at 7:30 pm and/or Saturday mornings at 10:00 am! Host an Oneg to make the evening even more special.
  • Attend our events. Whether it's our monthly Shabbat dinners, education programs, a party or carnival, or a fundraising event, join us for a great time. Some events have a cost associated with them, but financial hardship should never be a barrier to full participation - just contact us for a reduction or waiver.
  • Become a member! The most important way you can support our congregation is to JOIN US TODAY! Financial hardship should NEVER be a barrier to full membership! Simply contact the rabbi in strict confidence to discuss the monetary support that is feasible for you.
  • Make a donation. Whether you are contributing in honor of a joyous occasion or commemorating a loved one through a memorial donation, we appreciate your support.
  • Shop at our Gift Shop. We have a full range of Judaica items, from personally crafted tallit to shabbat or memorial candles. From holiday items to children's gifts and jewelry, we can meet your any need. And if you don't see what you need, we're happy to find it and order it for you.
  • Buy Giant Eagle Gift Cards. All you need to do is order Giant Eagle Gift Cards and use them for your purchases at Giant Eagle and GetGo for your grocery and gas purchases. You pay $100 for a $100 gift card, which can be used to pay for $100 worth of product. That's right - you pay face value - Giant Eagle gives us a percentage back based on the quantity of cards sold. Place your order by the last Sunday of the month. Pick them up during office hours during the first two weeks of the month, or on the first Sunday of the month (Sept - May).
  • Volunteer your time or expertise. The daily life of the congregation requires many varied skills and the dedication of many volunteers. Are you an event organizer, a financial or computer wizard, a great cook or baker, a musician? Are you available to serve on a committee? Can you volunteer your time to perform clerical or organizational assistance. Contact the office today!
