Baseball, that quintessential all-American game, has more of a connection to Judaism and Israel than we might see at first blush. Tonight, let us to take a fresh look at baseball through an Israeli (and a Jewish) lens.
Rabbi Michael Kohn is the Rabbi Emeritus at the former Temple B’nai Abraham in Meriden, CT. In 2019, after a merger with Congregation Adath Israel, Rabbi Kohn served as Interim Rabbi. Rabbi Kohn serves as rabbi when their leader is unavailable and teaches occasionally at area synagogues. Rabbi Kohn was ordained at the Academy for Jewish Religion and has served on its Board of Trustees from 2011-2023, before being elected Trustee Emeritus. Rabbi Kohn also holds degrees from Emory University (Biology), the University of Chicago (Molecular Biology), and Seton Hall University (Law) and practiced law for 25 years.
