Beth Samuel Jewish Center recently donated several boxes of congregational records to the Rauh Jewish Archives at the Heinz History Center for permanent preservation. Archive staff have recently completed a preliminary view of the collection and want to give the congregation a peak at the stories and treasures it contains. Rauh Jewish Archives Director Eric Lidji will lead a virtual “unboxing” of the collection, showing photographs, scrapbooks, and ephemera going back to the 1920s. “Unboxing” is a popular Internet trend, where people film themselves opening and reviewing recent retail purchases. We’ll do the same thing, showing the coolest discoveries from the Beth Samuel Jewish Center Records.
