Cantor Arlene Frank presents "The Pioneer Jews of Leadville, Colorado"

Leadville Colorado’s Pioneering  Jews:  A look at the Jews that lived and thrived at North America’s highest elevation incorporated city, Leadville,  during the gold and silver rush.  It’s an amazing story of life in Leadville;  an exceptional melting pot of many different  cultures that found ways to accept and honor each other’s differences,  as thousands of gold and silver rush prospectors ascended to the Collegiate Mountains peaks of The Rocky Mountains, Colorado, in search of fortune.

Yes, many Jews found their fortunes….in expected or unexpected ways. Enter into a fun slide presentation journey with Cantor Frank as we find out and discuss their history and bravery and how their experience at elevation 11,152 above sea level  (The Two-Mile-High City) feels not that far off from ours!

Cantor Arlene Frank was ordained in 2003 from the Academy for Jewish Religion. She immediately starting working at Temple Beth El in Rockland County, serving as their Cantor at which she stayed until 2016. From there, she made her way to Congregation Shir Shalom, Buffalo,  where she has been serving as Full time Cantor for the last 4 years.

Cantor Frank loves to get involved in all matter of musical projects with varied instrument accompaniment, both live and recorded.  Her last full scale project was her new album, Hanukkah Nights; a very varied and robust Hanukkah album.  It is available on CD, on most social media platforms and almost all digital streaming services like Spotify and Amazon music.
