A Conversation with Rabbi Lizz Goldstein

You Shall Love Your Neighbor as Yourself: Activism and Self-Care through a Jewish Lens

Join Rabbi Lizz as she weaves Jewish texts and values together with personal experience to discuss how to be a successful Jewish activist and how to make your shul an inclusive place.

Rabbi Lizz Goldstein is the spiritual leader of Congregation Ner Shalom in Woodbridge, VA, the only synagogue in Prince William County. She has a BA in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Genocide Studies, and MA in Jewish studies, and was ordained at the Academy of Jewish Religion in 2016. Rabbi Lizz has been active in many social movements and activist circles, some Jewish, some interfaith, and some secular. She is most proud of her membership in NYC Shut It Down and her past participation with People's Mondays, which would gather every Monday evening for three years at Grand Central Terminal and then take to the streets to tell the stories of extrajudicial killings of and state approved violence against people of color.
